INDIANAPOLIS — Unseasonably warm air for October will continue through Halloween.  Better rain chances return Sunday and early next week.

MONDAY NIGHT:

Variably cloudy with a nearly full moon shining all night long. Lows in the middle to upper 40s. Some areas of fog may develop and they could be locally dense.

TUESDAY:

A mix of sun & clouds.  Seasonably mild highs in the lower 70s.

TUESDAY NIGHT:

Variably cloudy. Lows from the upper 40s to lower 50s.

WEDNESDAY:

Sun & clouds.  Highs in the middle 70s to upper 70s.  Lows in the 50s Wednesday night.

THURSDAY:

Sun & clouds.  Chance of a few spotty showers, mainly across Northern Indiana.  Highs in the middle to upper 70s. Lows in the 50s Thursday night.

FRIDAY:

Variably cloudy & mild. Highs in the lower to middle 70s.  Lows in the 50s Friday night. Conditions look great for week #2 of high school football playoffs.

HALLOWEEN:

Mostly cloudy & mild. Highs near 70.  Temperatures look to be mainly in the 60s for trick-or-treating in the evening. Some spotty rain could creep in from the south late in the day/evening, but that’s not a sure bet.

SUNDAY:

Clocks go back 1 hour at 2 a.m. with the return of standard time.  Cloudy skies with areas of rain are beginning to look more likely. Temperatures will be above normal, but probably more in the way of 60s versus 70s.

NEXT WEEK:

A stronger weather system and front could give Indiana another rain & thunder chance late Monday into Tuesday, Election Day. That’s something we’ll continue to follow over the coming days.
